CP HISTORICAL SOCIETY WALKING TOUR JUNE 22, LEGENDS AND LORE OF WASHINGTON ST

The Center Point Historical Society will be holding a free walking tour of Washington Street at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 22. The tour will start at the Depot Museum, 700 Washington St., which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It will include old hotels, gas stations and livery stables.Volunteer tour guides will include Historical Society President, Dennis Schlicht and members Teresa Scheeler, Daphne Craig Miller, Philip Andersen and Sharon Hannen.

Benton County Farm Bureau hosting annual Cookout Contest

Benton County Farm Bureau is happy to be hosting their annual Cookout Contest again this year at the County Fair! This event will be held on Saturday, June 28. Contestants can begin cooking at 8 a.m., with judging beginning at 4 p.m. Categories this year include beef, pork, lamb, turkey, poultry, and youth.
